January and June 2003: French Sessions

The French Sessions were recorded by The Libertines (and feature some French musicians) in January 2003. They contain four tracks and were recorded in France, although never offically released which explains why they were insted leaked onto the internet. It is sometimes said (although not proven) that The Libertines recorded the 4 new tracks without telling their record label, and Rough Trade got angry with The Libertines for this, although there is no solid proof of this fact. No artwork was officially designed, however fan-artwork has been made.
